2008-2011: Xbox 360 Elite. Stopped reading any new discs. Had a good run, no red rings, but alas, still broke. Sold to GameHaven because they thought it worked lol. Hard drive currently being used as a backup drive for my PC because I know how to fiddle with things and make them work. RIP
2011-2013: Xbox 360 Slim. Hard drive explodes in the middle of playing GTAV. Sold to Gamestop without the hard drive. RIP
2013-2013: PS3 Slim: Hard drive is currently corrupted because of GT6 crashing last night. No idea if I can recover it, but it doesn't look good.
I was able to play GT6 for a night and a morning. I'm gonna cry if this doesn't work.

My Genesis and SNES are still alive and kicking... they're both around 22 years old.

My PS2 is still running like a champ despite being knocked over a few times, being stepped on, and being sprayed with hairspray. My PSOne still worked like a champ when I sold it in 2011.

This last gen nearly broke my console gaming streak. I even built a gaming PC.
5 Xbox of the older variety died and 1 original ps3. Not to mention the DS i ruined the triggers on and the psp that is just now throwing a screen.
I hope before they stop selling them they make a final version of the big consoles that are small in size and don't change the temperature of my room

My PS2 survived college parties, a bad relationship, moving home, moving out, moving again, and again, a wife, two dogs, a kid, and all the abuse in between. I played GT4 on it last night.

The only console of last gen (including handhelds) that hasn't bombed on me yet has been the Wii. Good ol Nintendo quality

Legendary. Mine's a original "fat" ps2 as well. The only thing of last gen to not break on me (including handhelds) has been the Wii lol. And our Wii is constantly taking abuse. Falling off tables while running games, pulling on the controller ports constantly (gamecube controllers), sucking in dust, being abused by my sister's friends. Legendary Nintendo quality

My PSOne seems to have broken. It doesn't really want to read games anymore. I tried playing GT2 on it lately and it won't read the disc. I could only get one game to work on it - NFS Porsche, and even on that the loading times were loooooooooooong.

My daughter tried to jam one of my wife's old Star Wars figures into the Wii so she could "play Star Wars", so you bring up an excellent point considering it didn't even skip a beat.

mine's still firing at 100% but I have seen them fail. A buddy of mine went through 3 of them.

I had used to have an old DS that decided it only liked having to respond to the left d-pad being pressed if it was pressed REALLY hard. It made that decision after I spilled a little bit of a Slurpee on it. Needless to say anything besides an RPG was playable.

My DS was dropped and the top screen broke. Still runs GBA games though!

Lol, my old GB Advance had been dropped from a storey multiple times and managed to get lemonade in it, yet beside the L Button sometimes not working it's fine.
